Area of interest:  Migration studies,  Identity and Refugee studies.

Achievements:

1. Presented a paper on “Self-Immolation by Tibetans and the question of Human security” in a national seminar organized by Centre for Himalayan studies, University of North Bengal.
2. Published an article in ‘Himalayan Miscellany’ titled “Peoples’ Perception of the ongoing Movement for Gorkhaland under Gorkha Janmukti Morcha: A study in Kalimpong’. ISSN 0970-4922
3. Published an article in ‘Himalayan Miscellany’ titled “Constructing Home in Exile: Tibetan Migration into India”. ISSN 0970-4922
4.  Co-authored an article titled “Change and Continuity- Preserving the cultural heritage of Tibet in era of Diaspora published by Netaji institute for Asian Studies, Kolkata.
5.   Worked as a Field Investigator for two research projects entitled ‘Qualitative study of Tea Industry’ and ‘Land utilization in Tea Industry ‘undertaken by the Centre for Social Science, Calcutta, sponsored by National Tea Research Foundation, Tea Board of India.
6. Attended a workshop on Qualitative Research Methods organized by Centre for Himalayan Studies in collaboration with Anthropological Survey of India, Govt. of India.
7. Participated in UGC sponsored Symposium cum Workshop organized by Centre for Himalayan studies, University of North Bengal.
8. Participated in a national seminar on ‘Socio-Cultural life of the Hill People: Persistence and Change’ organized by Netaji institute for Asian studies, Kurseong.
9. Participated in UGC sponsored Research Scholars’ Training Programme “Quantitative Social Science Research and Econometric Methods”, University of North Bengal.
